Who we are
SolarQuotes is operated from New Zealand. We comply with the NZ Privacy Act 2020 and handle personal information in accordance with the twelve Information Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Consumer details you provide in the quote funnel (name, address, phone, email, power bill, roof details).
- Installer account details (company, licensing, contact, payment method tokens).
- Technical information (IP address, device, timestamps) for security and analytics.
How we use it
- To verify leads via SMS and route them to licensed installers.
- To process payments via Stripe.
- To keep the service secure, detect abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
- To send service-related emails via SendGrid.
Who we share with
We only release consumer contact details to the single installer who purchases a given lead. We use Stripe (payments), SendGrid (email), TransmitSMS (SMS), and ActiveCampaign (CRM) as data processors.
Retention
Verified leads are retained for 24 months. Installer account data is retained while your account is active and for 7 years afterwards for tax/audit purposes.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing privacy@solarquotes.co.nz. We respond within 20 working days.
